Teachers in USHS usually make their own lesson plans or called as Teacher  Guide but it is still parallel toward the National curriculum following the guidelines of the Department of Education.This Teaching Guide is mapped and aligned to the DepEd Curriculum, designed to be highly usable for teachers. It contains classroom activities and pedagogical notes, and is integrated with innovative pedagogies. All of these elements are presented in the following parts:
1.      Introduction
Introduction or the opening of the class usually deals with highlighting the key concepts and identify the essential questions. The teacher also should be able to show the big picture about what will the lesson for that day. Thus teacher should be able to connect and/or review the prerequisite knowledge of the students to able characterize in which part should started in order to lead the students. Teacher also should be able to clearly communicate the learning competencies and objectives to the students in order to make them understand what they should do during the teaching and learning process. 
2.      Motivation
Motivate through applications and connections to real-life also essential before start the main lesson, it will be considered as the preparation for the students’ physical and mental readiness. Teacher also can give local examples and applications even engage in a game or movement activity to attract the students in the classroom and as a start to build a good atmosphere in the classroom. As stated by Holt (1964) that learning is enhanced by the teacher knowledge, enthusiasm, and responsibility toward creating a warm class climate enhancing “the students desire to learn and to accept the challenges of thinking and enquiring into all this is offered by the teacher.
3.      Instruction/Delivery
In this part teacher can give a demonstration/lecture/simulation/hands-on activity and Show step-by-step solutions to sample problems. Teacher also should be able to use the simple word in order to make the students easy to understand the material. Then give applications of the theory that connect to a real-life problem if applicable. Therefore, the students able to comprehend even implemented the material that have been taught.
4.      Practice
Some strategies can be used by the teacher in practicing during the classroom activities such as discuss worked-out examples and Provide easy-medium-hard questions. Thus, teacher able to monitor which students that involve to the lesson. Teacher also can give time for hands-on unguided classroom work and discovery or use formative assessment to give feedback
5.      Enrichment
During this stage teacher can provide additional examples and applications for the clarifications and introduce extensions or generalizations of concepts. Teacher also should able to engage in reflection questions and encourage analysis through higher order thinking prompts
6.      Evaluation
Evaluation stage in teaching and learning process could be able to be implemented by supplying a diverse question bank for written work and exercises or provide alternative formats for student work: written homework, journal, portfolio, group/individual projects, and student-directed research project. This stage as the reflection both for the teacher and students.
