5.2 Time Management and Organizing Activities
Since the function of lesson plan is as a
guidance for the teacher in teaching the time management can be arranged as
well by the activities that stated on the lesson plan. The time allotment for
teaching was 60 minutes, therefore the prospective teacher able to make a time
division for each activities such as opening would be spend 5 minutes the main
activities such as explaining and discussion would be 45 minutes and the
closing would be 10 minutes include of giving tasks and reviewing the
materials. However, there also would be the unexpected things happen during
teachings that teacher need to ready for that. Thus, teacher should have the
plan B or backup plan to overcome the problem. Such as if the teacher spend too
much time for discussion the teacher should be able to re-arrange the planning
time management which one should be maximize and minimize. This also apply on
the classroom management or organizing activities. Teacher should be able to
overcome the problem such as the students’ misbehavior in a good way.
The problem that faced by the
prospective teacher during the teaching practice was usually lack of time and
how to manage the class well. The way how to manage that was by always practice
before enter the class and have self-awareness. As the prospective teacher,
deciding the appropriate approach, method and strategy should be discussed to
the cooperating teacher because that also influence the classroom management.
