5.4 Classroom Management
As a
prospective teacher, learn how to make a good atmosphere and vibes in the
classroom is not that simple. Moreover, when the students has different
characteristics and need. From that kind of situation prospective teacher
usually will use game or motivation and icebreaker activities as the opening to
gain students attention. The prospective teacher also usually walked around
the class to see students’ work, and facilitate students if they had a question
and to made sure that all students understood about the materials and the
instructions. Giving reinforcement also important in teaching and learning
process in order to strengthen the good behavior of the students for example
giving a star sticker for the students who participate actively. For the
students who shown misbehavior the reinforcement that given was by asking them
and notice them like giving the non-verbal negative reinforcement but still in
positive way. Moreover, checking
the time frequently also important for the time management as well.
